Mission and GoalsWelcome to riverstudies.com, a collaborative team of agency, academic, and student researchers and biologists primary stationed in Columbia, Missouri. However, we work with researchers nationwide to help solve applied resource management questions related to stream and river conservation and management, conservation planning at large spatial scales, climate change, and fish ecology and management. Craig Paukert, Leader of the USGS Missouri Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit at the University of Missouri, and Joanna Whittier, Research Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri leads the team, but have many collaborators within the University of Missouri, state and federal agencies, and NGOs.
Our primary mission is to help inform resource management agencies and organizations and help them with their research needs. This is typically conducted through graduate student research projects, but also includes research staff and post docs. Please browse through our page and if you have any questions please contact Craig or Joanna.
